Singles, EPs, or albums?
The tracks were all written, composed, and created at different times; although all of them were made at some point in 2017. – There were a number of other tracks considered; some in place of and others along with the final selection.
Again I’d started out trying to create an album; but after a few unsuccessful attempts I wondered, to myself, exactly what was the point of an album. – I mean it’s meant to convey a story or a subject, and it gets tricky. The big question is are albums “cool” anymore? In fact; ‘do albums have any use any more?’
‘See if people like a track then they’ll stream, or maybe even download, that one track. – Whether that track is a single release, part of an EP, or even part of an album, is totally irrelevant. – The customer wants the one track, no more.
EPs are useful to me to create; because I can publish small batches of tunes, usually on a theme, and do so cheaper than if I released each one on a single. The customers commonly like to download an individual track of the EP, rather than the entire EP still. – But it’s easier for me and also for you – my audience – plus you get more choices of my music to listen to.
